My name is Evelyn, and I have had the privilege of teaching Kiwi Class here at MMS for the last 3 years. This is such a wonderful little school and I feel blessed everyday that I work with such a great team and wonderful children! I have been teaching now for 8 years, and I believe in being a lifelong learner. Certainly, I learn a lot as a teacher! I want the children in my class to also have a love of learning, exploring, discovering and asking questions, and finding their passions.

I was born and raised in Palmerston North, however, as my parents are both from America, I have spent a lot of time in the USA as well. I have one older brother and a sister-in-law who live in Wellington, and now a very cute canine nephew (a pug called Yoda). In my spare time, I love to be creative and do a lot of art, crafting and sewing. I also love to explore outside and find new places to go walking. I also love animals (as my students quickly learn) and spend some time volunteering at the Honolulu Zoo in 2013.
